New Blog Site for EDLD 5363 Multimedia and Video Technology

Instead of posting my next class assignments on this blog site which was created for 5301, I have created a new blog. It's:

Is it me or does there seem to be a design flaw in the curriculum using external sites? If I knew I was going to have to use this blog site for other courses I would not have designed it so specific for just on course. Oh well.

Week 6 Reflection

Class is over and the real work begins. I am starting to feel the pressure of the assignment. Good news is that I just finished my survey question form with some real questions. Found it difficult to balance information need with limiting the number of question. Still tweaking questions and I hope to send it out soon. Next I will start extracting data from old helpdesk system.

Week 4 Reflection

This week has been crazy busy within our department so the time I had to meet was short and to the point. Had copies of my plan for my supervisors and they had a couple days to review before our conference. Everything was pretty positive except for the survey part. They were concerned about my survey questions and who I planned to target with those questions. I had a few topic questions and had a general framework built, but I didn’t have my entire question bank developed. With this meeting I was hoping to get more insight on specific questions to ask (maybe as a department, what they wanted to know) but that did not happen. It gave me the impression that I am the only one in the department that is concerned with increasing effectiveness and customer satisfaction within our department.  After thinking about it, it is my action research plan and question I'm trying to answer, not the department's. So the results and answers are really for me and my impression would be correct. Anyway, besides developing and presenting my survey questions, there are no changes or revisions to my action plan as a result of the conference this week.
